The Contributor path

Bring fresh questions to the discussion.

A Contributor need not specialise in the session's topic. The role brings curiosity, connections between perspectives and angles specialists might overlook.

An example Contributor input

One question, a fresh angle

  1. 1
    Hidden assumption

What have we accepted without evidence?

  2. 2
    Another perspective

    Who does this decision affect?

  3. 3
    Connect perspectives

Which two ideas could complement each other?

Relevant questions under the Facilitator's guidance, alongside specialist expertise.

You can be an Expert in your own field and a Contributor in another. Each invitation specifies the session role. A Contributor is separate from the Facilitator.

The Contributor role

Your responsibilities in this role

01

Precise questions

A good question clarifies the problem and unstated assumptions without taking the discussion off course.

02

Connect perspectives

Point out similarities or differences between proposals and ask which parts might work together.

03

Development path

Complete your profile and contribution history, then check the development path for qualification-review requirements.

From joining to contributing

The Contributor path

Each profile has separate information and shares the same account, identity and wallet. Choosing a role during registration does not itself verify qualifications or activate it.

One account, four profiles: a guide
  1. 1

    Join without claiming specialist expertise

Record your interests, general experience and motivation. A specialist CV is not required to start.

  2. 2

    Build your Contributor profile

Describe your interests and perspective to help the team find relevant invitations.

  3. 3

    Review an invitation

Read the question, plan, role and confidentiality obligations before accepting.

  4. 4

    Contribute with purpose

Listen actively, ask relevant questions and spot connections that improve the discussion.

  5. 5

    Follow your development path

Use Reputation and qualifications to follow published history and request review in a subject area. Progression is not automatic; it requires review and approved policy.
